Spiders and webs
MingSez’s interpretation
A web can hold something together or trap it. We read a spider building a web through patient construction and connection; being caught in strands brings obstruction or entanglement into the foreground. A spider merely nearby may instead draw on curiosity or fear. These are different basic readings, not one fixed verdict for the animal.
Traditional context and source limits
We have not verified a dedicated spider omen in the dream-book passages used here. Wang Fu’s discussion of individual preferences offers a broader reason to distinguish an admired web from a frightening encounter. The construction-and-entanglement readings here are MingSez’s own, not quotations from that text.
How the scene changes the meaning
You watch a spider patiently building its web.
Pattern, patience and gradual construction are visible in the scene. A threatening interpretation would ignore the calm observation.
You cannot move freely because strands catch your hands.
Entanglement and restricted action are present. Notice whether you freed yourself or received help.
A question to take with you: Was the web something being made, something you admired, or something holding you back?

Chapter 28 discusses individual likes and dislikes and remembered concerns. It supports attending to context, not the specific modern symbolic readings below. Those are MingSez interpretations; no dedicated traditional omen has been verified for these images.
