The date record is the base text. It identifies the lunar date, weekday, day pillar, zodiac year, solar term when present, and the original source terms listed under Yi and Ji. Without those fields, the page cannot explain why the day is being read in a particular way.
The activity gives the record scale. A wedding, a work opening, a home repair, a contract, a trip, and an ordinary errand do not carry the same weight. The almanac term has to be matched with the actual decision before the date can become practical.
